It’s shaping up to be a hot deals weekend as we hit mid-August! 🔥 From big-box electronics sales to back-to-school bargains and even free food offers, we’ve rounded up some of the best deals available from Thursday, 8/14 through Sunday, 8/17. 1. Best Buy’s 4-Day Sale – Electronics Blowout
Tech shoppers, head to Best Buy. Through Sunday (8/17) they’re slashing prices on TVs, laptops, appliances and more. Notably, a 13″ Apple MacBook Air is on sale for $799 ($200 off), and a popular Samsung 55″ 4K TV is only $259.99 (down from $379.99). They even have a Lenovo Chromebook 14″ for $169 (was $399 – a huge discount). These deals end Sunday night, and some items may sell out, so don’t wait too long.
2. Amazon Weekend Deals – Up to 70% Off
Amazon has a ton of markdowns this weekend across home, fashion, and gadgets. You can score up to 73% off select items. For example, we spotted a Eufy robot vacuum for $600 (usually $1,300) and a Michael Kors crossbody bag for $89 (usually $148). Thousands of items are on sale – check Amazon’s “Deals” section for the latest lightning deals and coupon offers. (Pro tip: Prime members get free shipping and sometimes exclusive prices, but most deals are available to everyone.)
3. Back-to-School Savings at Walmart
If you need school supplies or dorm essentials, Walmart is the place this weekend. They’re advertising backpacks, lunch boxes and basic supplies from just $0.25 – yes, quarter-dollar notebooks and pencil packs! You’ll also find rollbacks on electronics like laptops and printers, and on dorm gear (think mini-fridges and bedding). It’s a one-stop shop for back-to-school on a budget. These deals should last through the weekend, but shop early for the best selection (the cheapest stuff tends to get scooped up fast).
4. Fashion & Dept. Store Deals – JCPenney & Belk
Two big mid-August sales to note: JCPenney’s Power Penney Days run Aug 14–17 with hundreds of items $25 or less. You can refresh your wardrobe or home on the cheap – plus use code 1PENNEY for an extra 20% off most items. And at Belk, their Stock Up Sale (through Sunday) takes up to 50% off men’s and kids’ everyday apparel, denim, underwear and more. Belk also has up to 40% off designer handbags this weekend. It’s a great time to pounce on summer clearance and early fall deals at these department stores.
5. Macy’s Beauty “10 Days of Glam”
Macy’s is in the final stretch of its Ten Days of Glam beauty event, which ends Sunday (8/17). Each day they feature 50% off select beauty products – spanning makeup, skincare, fragrance, hair tools, you name it. For instance, recent daily deals included half-price Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes and 50% off select Kiehl’s moisturizers. Check Macy’s site each day to see that day’s special; if something catches your eye, grab it before it’s gone at midnight! Beauty steals like these only come around a couple times a year. (Hint: you can also score free shipping at Macy’s with a $49 beauty purchase, or pick up in store.)
